I’m having the same thoughts. We are collectively (via media framing, social media promotion, interpersonal communication) opted into a countdown we didn’t consent to, a countdown to Black trauma that will undoubtedly trigger many.

I’m not sure what the right answer is, but there is something untoward/icky about the spectacle of counting down to the video release like this.
